Title: Custom markers for quick-jumping to positions in video
Post by: encorejane on December 07, 2024, 03:33:30 AM
Besides the A/B markers for selecting a range, would be IMMENSELY helpful to have ability to set custom arbitrary markers to mark positions in the timeline and jump to. Thank you!

You ask for chapter support which is very high on the nice-to-have whishlist. For now, I help myself by using Ctrl+Shift+C combo and pasting the timestamp into a text editor. You can seek to timestamp in clipboard by pressing Ctrl+T in Avidemux window followed by Ctrl+V and Return.

The latter method doesn't help when the video is further cut / edited and the timestamps is therefore invalidated, of course.

"Chapter support"...ah okay, I didn't know that's what it's called! But yea, the manual tracking and jumping to timestamps with copy/paste is what I'm suffering through for the time being 😅 . But glad to know the feature request is highly prioritized. Thanks for the reply!
