Avidemux is a great tool, it would be even better with 4:2:2 YUV ability.
Will Avidemux ever make the leap to 4:2:2 and if not, why?
Very much desired, no estimates possible as this would require essentially a rewrite of the application and of most of video filters (YV12 is the internal exchange format).
