Title: 2.6 request: CoreAudio output device
Post by: nibbles on January 06, 2012, 10:41:33 PM
If it's the right time in the 2.6 development cycle, would it be possible to build the CoreAudio output device?
I suppose it works differently in 2.6, but if it's an easy patch it would be fun to test it out.  I'm at r7727 now.
Ok thanks.

1A+

This would be great. Cutting h.264 content with avidemux 2.6 without audio is a pain. Thanks.

Read here (http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=9960.msg56657#msg56657) concerning the effort by nibbles to solve this issue.

The main problem is i dont have a mac.
The audio output is slightly different between 2.5 and 2.6
It is buffered and threaded on 2.6 with latency informations.
It should not be too hard to port it.

Maybe this could help: http://www.hackint0sh.org/ Seems you would only need to buy the OS license. There is a video at Tekzilla about this: http://revision3.com/tekzilla/rogers-hackintosh.
