Title: Too Short
Post by: enchant on April 04, 2012, 06:11:56 PM
I'm having some problems with 2.5, so I downloaded last night's build (7848).

I'm using mp4's and trying to save as mp4.  If I open a file and try to save it
Video Output: Copy
Audio Output: Copy
Output Format: MP4 Muxer

I get this error:

Too short
The video has been saved but seems to be incomplete.

I've tried several different mp4 videos in various resolutions from various sources, and the result is the same each time.

Should this work?  I simply open the file and try to save it without making any modifications.

Thanks, but I think it's something else.

QuoteIn a nutshell, the most common case of output too short is missing or incorrect timestamps (pts/dts)

I've tried it on MANY files, and get the same results.  I simply can't believe they're all bad.  I suspect there's some additional software that avidemux depends on that is missing/outdated/bad on my machine, but I've got no idea what it might be.

QuoteIf it is due to a bug or a little error in the input file, please provide a sample.

Jan has uploaded samples in the past to Rapidshare.  Use whatever site you like, though, about 5 sec worth.
