Title: Change language to Italian in 2.5.6
Post by: Nedo72 on May 24, 2012, 09:39:14 AM
Hello,
during Avidemux 2.5.6 installation on Win7 Pro x64 (the OS is in English) I selected the Italian language but now I can't find a way to switch to it.
Is it possible to switch to Italian on my English OS?
THX

uninstall avidemux 2.5.6, remove content / folder %APPDATA%/avidemux/ and reinstall again

Did not work.
Still on my English OS I can't switch avidemux to the Italian language I selected during installation.
Other suggestions?

Go to to folder i18n in your avidemux directory: Is there a file avidemux_it.qm or qt_it.qm? Try to rename the english language files.

In the i18n folder I see the two files avidemux_it.qm and qt_it.qm.
I have not understood what should I do in order to "Try to rename the english language files"; could you detail a little bit more?

You're right. There is no english language file. If you do not want localization, but want to use the english interface, may workaround would have been successful.

But in your case, it's the other way round.  I can't help you. Something went wrong in your installation.
