Title: New to avidemux and having problems saving.

So i'm trying to fix some .avi indexes with avidemux 2. I get prompted to build a VBR time map at the beginning, after that it informs me the index is not up to dat so it prompts me to rebuild frame. After that, i have issues saving it a playable file. What am i doing incorrectly?

Could be several causes. Used version of avidemux? Used codec in avi? Hard to tell from this distance.
If you have ffmpeg on your computer? See if this helps

Code Select

ffmpeg -i movie.avi -vcodec copy -acodec copy reindexed_movie.avi
Replace movie.avi with the filename of your avi.
