Title: Saving Video
Post by: Powell41 on February 19, 2013, 07:50:14 PM
Good Day Forum Folks:

I'm all brand new and shiny to your application so please bear with me. I am trying to eliminate all the titles, introductions, and cast & crew listing from a multi part video that I have downloaded. I can get rid of all this dross following the steps in the wiki instructions, however I can't seem to save it. I am doing all the editing in the copy mode and the finished product is the way I want it, but when I try to save it from the file menu or by simply clicking on the file icon I get a message  telling me that I am in copy mode but the cutpoints are not made on the keyframes. The message also informs me that I can still save the file anyway. As soon as I click save I get CRASH message. The codec for the original file is 4CC H264. What am I doing wrong?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Powell Lucas

you MUST start on a I frame and end on I or P frame (see bottom of avidemux window).

Select these cutting points only with up/down keyboard arrows or (https://avidemux.org/smif/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.avidemux.org%2FadmWiki%2Flib%2Fexe%2Ffetch.php%3Fmedia%3Dusing%3Aprevious_keyframe-qt.png&hash=da1f5bd5d5a24f06391bc49cc0ed216457f30094) / (https://avidemux.org/smif/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.avidemux.org%2FadmWiki%2Flib%2Fexe%2Ffetch.php%3Fmedia%3Dusing%3Anext_keyframe-qt.png&hash=0a172dd91ef16d1d1f12fb5e5ee95cbd6395cb8f).
