Title: Important: An important v.codec is missing!
Post by: Walkstone on February 28, 2013, 04:25:23 PM
Hello Mean!

An important video codec is missing in the Avidemux codec palette. It is the best lossless codec: the famous FFV1.
I can't understand how did you forgot that highly important codec.
I think it would be very easy to implement the codec in Avidemux.

Thank you for Your reply!
Peter.

Hello!

I think about the FFV1 encoder. I use the standard 2.6 x64 version of Avidemux, and the newest x64 nightly builds.

Would that not be the 1st option in avidemux 2.6.1, video output (FF)HuffYUV? Then using Configure to switch between HuffYUV and (FF)HuffYUV?
If that is not the case checkout avidemux 2.5.6

Hello Gruuthuse!

I'm affraid , You confused FFv1 codec and Huffyuv codec.

There are huge differences!

Confusion probably:
Quoteffv1/ffvhuff
Then 2nd reply:
QuoteIf that is not the case checkout avidemux 2.5.6

I registered for this - the codec FFV1 really NOT exist in palette. And it was in 2.5.6.
And ffHuffyuv is NOT FFV1 codec.
And return it please.

it's really missing.

A FFV1 encoder (https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2/tree/master/avidemux_plugins/ADM_videoEncoder/ffv1) was added by szlldm two months ago. Decoding capabilities were always present. Please use a current nightly.
