Title: See the Hebrew subtitles, only with UTF-8 encoding
Post by: MrAccident on June 02, 2013, 09:13:56 PM
When I choose the Hebrew encoding - I don't see the subs; and with UTF-8 - it's left to right (the opposite).

Oops! Didn't click on "notify".
Tried other options; didn't work either.
Here's the subtitle file.

If this subtitle is showing correctly, click on thumbnail:

Convert the .srt to .ssa with Aegisub, subtitle tool (http://www.aegisub.org/): Load srt and save subtitle as.
Update avidemux to latest 2.6.4. Load video and use video filter subtitle ssa.

Thank you very much; It worked.
One little problem - the final dot of a sentence is on the right (suppose to be on the left).

I'm not sure if the full/final stop is placed under control by avidemux or not. Perhaps a developer should have a look at this and check why the . is not on the left hand side instead of the right hand side

I see that the dot is on the right in Aegisub; even in the field where I write the subs; so I'll ask in their forum\site. In the worst case - I'll put the dot at the beginning of the sentence.

Less professional, will require to concentrate anyway, cause I'm used to putting a dot at the end; and it will be strange that there are dots between sentences only.
