Title: Filter suggestion - add time stamp
Post by: Grobe on June 20, 2013, 02:53:59 PM
Hi.

Many camcorders put a timestamp that view the actual time (clock) on recording time, normally in a bottom corner.

It would be nice if there was a filter that could get time from each source file's time stamp and use that to calculate what time it was during a video sequense.

Thanks

The visual time information in bottom corner is not computer data and would need some type of ocr to read the characters from the image.
Could be that the exact time of recording information is present in some video formats if the cameras clock was set correctly.
What exactly do you want if exact time of recording could be found/retrieved from video?
Upon developers to decide if it is there/possible/feasible and a wanted feature and its priority.

Hi. I meant to receive the file date stamp and put it into the video as readable numbers  8)
