Title: Avidemux 2.6.4 - where's the queue?
Post by: thany on August 12, 2013, 07:06:47 PM
I see that in 2.6 the Job list has been renamed to "queue". That's fine. But where is it? I can add things to it no problem. Or at least it doesn't give any errors (it doesn't give any feedback at all). But where/how to I "start" the queue? Or even see what's in it? I might be going far-sighted, but surely I've been through all of the menus three times and haven't found anything that might vaguely indicate the presence of a queue/joblist...

Oh okay, avidemux_jobs, that's what it is.

Wait, why is it a separate program? I can see some advantages, but it still starts avidemux as a child process. If it were to start avidemux in a sort of "headless" mode, while still showing the encoding process dialog (as long as it's minimizable!) that'd make more sense... But this? I'm not sure that it absolutely needs to be a separate program ???

Also, it tries to start jobs from Avidemux 2.5, which it can't read.
So either dont let them show up, or fix it so that 2.6 can read jobs from 2.5. Currently it shows a TinyPy:Exception dialog for each job from 2.5 which _looks_ like the program is broken.
