Fixed in r9042:
preliminary tests shows this to be fixedmkv in r9003 this is working againmpeg-ts still only saves partial from these streamsBBC HD recorded streams: BBC 2 HD, BBC four HD, most likely BBC 1 HD and 3 HD too. Other providers don't pose this problem yet. (ARD, ...)
I'm no longer able to select a large block in these and save with copy the marked video in mpeg-ts. Perhaps bbc did change something in the stream?
Upon loading the video, avidemux seems to index completely. When saving these 2 Info windows pop up:
QuoteToo Short
The video has been saved but seems to be incomplete
QuoteFailed
File name.ts was NOT saved correctly.
bbcHD .zip contains:
- save video terminal output
- idx2 of such recorded mpeg stream
- mediainfo of such recorded mpeg stream
dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hri19imn0iidpz8/bbcHD.zip download 734 KB
update attached terminal output from 2.6.7 r8983
I can randomly save small selected blocks, not a large block.
recorded files around 4 Gb in size.
thanks for looking in to this

Using copy this works for Output format:
- AVI Muxer
- MP4v2 Muxer
And does not work for:
- MKV Muxer
- Mpeg TS Muxer (ff)
Have at last a sample BBC 2 HD that can reproduce the problem:
Download 41.9 MB: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jjl99veg3tmyxsf/sample_for_avidemux.ts
Move to 10 seconds forward with keyboard up arrow, mark B, and save using copy with as Output Format Mpeg TS Muxer (ff).
Strangely enough this works with a 20 MB dd cut?
Glad i can report:
Fixed in r9003 this is working again
? Did not change anything regarding that ?
I was under the impression it was fixed.
Just processing a recording: I can now save up to 1904 MB (51%)

So after all not fixed yet, just can save a larger block
mkv seems to be OK now: 4.0 GB, 0:58:12 saved. Only TS still having issues.
.ts and .mkv not saving anymore when selecting over 30 seconds :( 2 dreaded pop-up windows:

file to short both when trying to save either .mkv and .ts using both copy for video and audio
The mpeg-ts to mpeg-ts or mkv issues is solved
I looked through the recent changes on SVN berlios but did not notice any annotations wrt this issue.
Hopefully it really has been solved.

Thanks Jan,
Did not make that association, but always interesting to snoop at these code change comments.
Info: Revision 9043 has no negative impact on these kind of recordings.
