Title: Audio "hiccuping" when trying to shift it at beginning of video
Post by: behind8proxies on December 24, 2013, 04:36:43 PM
I'm running the latest version of Avidemux on Windows 7.  I'm trying to dub in an MP3 onto an mpg video that I took.  However, when I try to shift the audio, instead of delaying the audio x number of milliseconds, it seems to start the audio immediately, then start it over at the shift time.

What's going on???

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe because mpg container wants mp2 or AC3 sound. Change audio codec or container.

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about.

I've tried selecting the Audio Output to be both mp2 and AC3 and I get the same result when I try to play it.

This is before I even try to save the output file.  It's happening while I'm adding the audio to the video and then testing it in Avidemux to get the shift time right.

Just for something to try.
First, use copy mode and mux them together into a good container (MKV).
Then reload the new file and time shift the audio.
