Title: AAC Mono not working
Post by: zakk on December 30, 2013, 05:14:11 PM
Hi, I convert h.264/eac3(stereo) to h.264/aac(mono) with the "remux to mono" filter, but no sound is played (Mediainfo says 2kb AAC!).

Tried that on the 'meteo.ts' sample from an earlier thread.
With aac(lav), downmix a 2 channel EAC3 audio track to a mono channel aac audio, put in MKV.
That worked on my machine.
Media info shows its 1 channel audio and the MKV plays with sound.

Sorry, I'm using AAC(Faac) to be playable on my standalone player.

The downmix to mono appears to be working when using AAC(Faac) - (on 32 bit win7!).
But I too get just silence on playback.
And it doesn't matter which aac audio decoder I use.

"Upmixing" works - so maybe there is some confusion in the way the matrix is applied for the downmix.

Thanks mean,

Would you compile r8999 for both win32 and win64.

I'm sure AQUAR knows this, but for anyone wondering, the nightly builds are available here: http://www.avidemux.org/nightly/

Just downloaded  avidemux_r8999_win32.7z (http://www.avidemux.org/nightly/win32/avidemux_r8999_win32.7z).

And a thank you to mean and whoever else is involved in developing and maintaining this awesome tool.
