Title: Control over x264 settings
Post by: TimW on January 04, 2014, 10:45:22 AM
Hi

Can anyone advise how to get access to the x264 settings that are greyed out?  The Max VBV rate and other settings on the "Advanced 1" tab are inaccessible, and so are the settings on some other tabs.

They are not implemented on 2.6 yet, but you can have them with Avidemux 2.5.

Okay, thanks for letting me know - I thought it was user error for a while!

Look forward to these options hopefully reappearing soon.  You can't really do much with high def video with v2.5 as the audio sync always gets scrambled, whereas 2.6 is fantastic!

It would be great if it were possible to set the other x264 flags as well, such as --bluray-compat and the standard presets slow, slower, veryslow etc.  Better still, why not allow an x264 script to be typed in?

Many thanks to all those whose hard work created this great software.
