Title: .srt filter has disappeared from my subtitle options?
Post by: AnCi on August 28, 2014, 04:52:34 AM
Hello,

I'm using Avidemux (GTK+) 2.5.4 with linux mint. I wanted to hardcode subtitles into a clip (avi) i was making and i only saw three options when i opened the subtitle folder: VobSub, ASS, and DVB sub (also, fyi, whenever i click 'DVB sub' avidemux crashes). I only have an .srt file and it hasn't worked with any of these. Is there a way I can get that filter in there?

You need to build avidemux 2.5.6 yourself. Following instructions for ubuntu should work for mint.
Get source and follow ubuntu manual installation following this wiki (http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/doku.php?id=build:install_2.5).
2.6.8 only uses ssa subtitles.
