Hi, I would like to know why encoding with MPEG4 AVC the 1st pass is only using 20% of CPU ? ...and 99% at 2nd pass. Thanks

In Preferences, you can set what priority is used. However, if anything else isn't using the CPU resources, it is really strange.

I had a quick look lately, and did not spot an obvious difference between pass1 & pass2
I'll relook at it in more depth later

- Avidemux 2.5.6-1
- Windows 7 Professionnel 64-bit
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz
- 6,00 Go Canal-Double DDR2 @ 333 MHz
