Title: WMA audio
Post by: Burnout on January 09, 2016, 11:05:27 AM
Using the latest few Win 64 nightly, AVD will play WMA audio in the WMV container file in the editor mode but when it comes to encoding it to aac (or I would assume any choice) then the resulting file audio is silence.

In the properties window when the video is loaded it shows the WMA audio total duration with an all zero result but it shows the codec, channels, bitrate and frequency correctly.

I do have a workaround where I convert the audio in an external program and then import in but it'd be easier and more convenient not to have to do that.

Has it been disabled entirely? I understand not encoding using the WMA codec but I want to encode it to aac in AVD and isn't that possible and OK?

The WMV demuxing is incomplete, hence the problem you are seeing
Not sure it's worth the pain to update it
