Title: too short movie
Post by: alphadec on June 11, 2016, 10:28:12 AM

Since I use avidemux for editing tv recordings (*ts) files. On some files I get this error. My thought has been that this error comes on big files (1gb and up)

I have included the file here

https://db.tt/v1YMQ4Cm

I love to have some feedback on this.

Hmm, I could edit the commercials out and save as new file.
What are your options under Avidemux Menu: Edit: Preferences: Display
I'm uploading
I uploaded the edited file. see below
should take another 4 minutes to complete

Her is my prefs/display settings.

I see that I have not enable "openGL support", can that be the reason. ?

Normally I try NOT to re encode so first I will use "copy" if I get this error message then I re encode then I use mpeg-4 avc.

If you are doing some editing, like removing ads or similar, could you attach the project ?
(file->tiny py->save project)

Thats something I have never have used "files/project script/saves as project", but what sort of extensions do I save it to. ?

I have updated to latest build and I did edit about 10 videos last night and did not get one of these errors, so could be this is now solved.

I have had this problem on a recent series from ITV. This occurred on the Avidemux version 12 but reverting to either version 11 or 911, both saved correctly with the same files and edits. The same save on version 12 gave the too short error message and a saved file with no useful content.
