Title: Avidemux crashing halfway the encoding
Post by: sanae on July 24, 2016, 04:46:06 PM
Hi !

I've been using avidemux for quite some years to encode videos and subtitles together. I'm creating together and I've recently bought a new laptop running through windows 10 (64bits)
I always use the same options, two pass (video size), adding ass through the sub filter.
video output : mpeg4 avc (x264)
audio output : AAC (FAC)
format output : mp4 muxer

And it's always crashing in the middle of the second pass ! I tried with one pass but still crashing in the middle.
I tried with other files and subs but still the same..

Do you know from where the problem is coming maybe ? windows 10 might be the cause ?

Thanks in advance !

You loaded video in several parts and let avidemux join these automaticly?
Delete the matching filename .idx2 file (same folder where videos are situated)
Load part 1, when asked by avidemux to load remaining: reply no.
Append part 2 (if asked again to load remaning: reply no)
append part 3
See if that helps.
