Sorry for answering late, but my notify-reply-option was not active.
Just nothing happens. I get the Apple question "this is the first time... Do you really want to open it?", but then Avidemux doesn't show up in the dock, and it also doesn't show in the active queue when pressing ALT-CMD-ESC.
The 2.6.12 from July 31 opens under Sierra PB2.
ok, brew was updated with some El Capitan specific stuff apparently

But is this 2.6.12 from July 31 now something new, or just a reload of the old 2.6.12, which always worked?
It has been rebuilt with newest brew
(and it is a nightly 2.6.x, it is much more recent than 2.6.12, closer to 2.6.13 actually)
The new 2.6.13 no longer works with Yosemite. It launches and immediately quits. Can this be fixed?
