Title: Questions about 2.6.14 and 10-bit
Post by: Akmar-fr on November 16, 2016, 05:32:25 PM
Hi all

I have recently installed the version 2.6.14 but compared to the version 2.6.13 when i try to reencode something in  HEVC (2pass average bitrate) i have an error message
I think it's abnormal, can i do something to fix it ?
I would also reencode in HEVC 10-bit but i have no idea where the option is, i don't even know if it can be done with Avidemux

Thank's, have a good day

Just to be sure: this might affect only the release, right? 2-pass HEVC encoding / average bitrate works fine for me in Avidemux built from the current git master on Linux.

I did a quick test, it seems to be broken on windows
I'll have to test it more in depth

on windows ?

No, on Linux.

I'm just in the initial phase of setting up the environment for MXE in a Debian Jessie LXC container, still a long way to go before I'll be able to try to cross-compile Avidemux for Windows.

It looks like the path to store the statistics for 1st pass is wrong

But then the x264 encoder should be broken as well, they both use the same setPassAndLogFile function.
