Title: missing portions of video from a large file. The audio is ok
Post by: crigefsky on February 22, 2017, 02:51:37 AM
Iââ,¬â,,¢m having a problem trying to edit a 3 hour movie that I saved from my DVR to the computer.  On a regular basis I stream movies from my DVR to the computer as a mpg file.  The next step in to use avidemus to edit out commercials.  I have a particular movie Iââ,¬â,,¢ve tried several times, but for some reason each time I try the first 18 minutes or so only the audio gets saved.  For the rest of the 3 hour movie all is well.  The original file is ok so I know the problem is not in the source.   The third step in the process it to take the edited avi file into handbrake and same as a mp4.  Any suggestions on what might be causing my problem.  Iââ,¬â,,¢ve being doing this many times and this is the only one with this problem
Thanks,

The output when you save the 1st 18mn might help
It is in %APP_DATA%/roaming/avidemux on windows
on the console on linux

I'll have to retry the process & see if I can find anything in the log.
