Title: strong-intra-smoothing in x265
Post by: jamesp26 on October 18, 2017, 09:32:31 PM
Hi,

I've started experimenting with x265. Using ffmpeg i can set strong-intra-smoothing=0 as an additional parameter which helps quality quite a lot. I can't see anywhere to set this in avidemux 2.7. However, would rather use avidemux as its lovely to cut the video before encoding (especially when encoding is running a 5fps!)

I'm using Ubuntu 17.10.  Any ideas.

Done (https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2/commit/896fea92dfd1b26c44292879468ed9cd61b30aa5), a checkbox added to the "Analysis" tab below noise reduction spinboxes.

To use it, pull the latest Avidemux code from git and build it (https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2/blob/master/createDebFromSourceUbuntu.bash). You must remove all other installed Avidemux versions beforehand.
