Title: File too short???
Post by: Gandalf on November 14, 2017, 10:05:12 PM
Why is it that when I try to modify certain .mp4 video files, the encoding process gets partway through when an error window pops up saying that the file is too short, and wasn't saved correctly, and yet other .mp4 video files are encoded with no problem? I am using Avidemux 2.7.0 with Slackware 14.2 (64-bit) as my operating system.

Please try an Avidemux build compiled from the latest git master. Some of reasons which might trigger the issue you see here have been addressed in the meantime.

Maybe this (http://avidemux.org/smif/index.php/topic,18066.msg82620.html#msg82620) is the same thing. I get from git 40 minutes ago. No changes... :(

The third sample in that thread is related, thanks. We still ended with a DTS collision due to DTS being too close but increasing.

Would I then be correct to assume that there is still no solution to the problem that i mentioned?

No, there are even more reasons to try Avidemux built from the latest git.
