Title: Problem with duration display
Post by: BG Davis on February 22, 2018, 05:41:25 PM

Edit a video in Avidemux – change speed and duration to create slow motion effect
Want to add a fade-to-black.
Problem: duration display shows old duration.  Makes it hard to input correct fade-out start and end time points.

The duration display in the fade-to-black filter and in the filter preview shows the modified duration, the one in the main window obviously can't. I agree that this makes applying timed filters after changeFps very complicated.

A possible solution would be to make filters automatically update their configuration when moved up or down the filter stack, i.e. you configure fade-to-black first, add changeFps later, then move fade-to-black below changeFps in the active filter list. The problem with this approach would be rounding artifacts, resulting in the original config being lost when the original filter order is restored.
