Quite the contrary (https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2/commits/master). Fresh nightly builds at http://avidemux.org/nightly/ (http://avidemux.org/nightly/). No release yet, but maybe soon.

Nothing? Since 19 March 2018: nightly was updated on 28 different days.

Yes, but none of that transitioned to true releases. You can work for 10 years, but if none of that is GA, there is no point, in my opinion.

You can argue that it's better to release later than a buggy release now, but it has been a year :)

You're aware there is a big developing time deficit,  limited manpower. Release is coming in (near/far) time in future. Developers set other priorities. Someday ...
