Title: GUI design makes window inflexible
Post by: cord-factor on November 18, 2019, 01:32:10 PM
Hello, I have started avidemux-2.7.4 on my laptop (12", 1280x800, 125 dpi), and I can't see the timings below the time line - the interface window is too big and can't be scale down :(
If I "maximize" the window it overlaps on each other.

Maybe the functional of left column (containing Video Decoder, Video Output, Audio Output, Output Format) should be moved into Menu bar. Just like in VirtualDub.

Disable autoscaling by Qt (add an environment variable QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR set to 0).

It looks you are on Linux (Fedora?), so probably QT_SCALE_FACTOR env var should be set for avidemux3_qt5 to 1. Apart from that, I would recommend using fusion Qt theme instead of anything else (export QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE set to "fusion").
