Title: Fade to Black Problems (again)
Post by: Ceyarrecks on March 01, 2020, 06:54:00 PM
Excuse me Please:

I have yet having problems with F2B; I have searched these forums, viewed the youtube videos on the subject, and can check each of the following as being complete in my v2.6.15 on win7pro(64bit)

Filter: Fade to black

Start time: where fade begins
e.g. 00:00:01:14
End time: where fade ends
e.g. 00:00:01:25 (there is a .042 that remains of the video that is not covered since fade UI only does whole seconds)

Fade type:
[Out] ends on black

right hand bottom on avidemux canvas, mark
[V] Play filtered

The effect is NOT seen immediately.
even saved the edited .mp4 as the youtube video suggests as Mpeg AVC (x264) /Copy/Mkv Muxer.

yet neither Play filtered nor saving as .mkv show *any* fade to black.
Rather frustrating, as all the directions have been followed, yet, .. nothing happens.

Any ideas? Anything subtle that need be verified?
Thank you for input.

As already mentioned in https://avidemux.org/smif/index.php/topic,18779.msg86779.html (https://avidemux.org/smif/index.php/topic,18779.msg86779.html), you use an obsolete unsupported version while issues you complain about have long been solved.

meh. because for my other purposes the previous version worked fine.
Will obtain a newer version, thanks for the insight.
