Title: Fedora 36 and Avidemux - problems with video pane
Post by: Mike Flint on August 09, 2022, 09:38:35 PM
First - LOVE this software. Huge thanks to authors. Fedora 36 has caused some issues.

After upgrading to Fedora 36, importing video there is a flashing nested/recursive pictures/screen of the Video decoder tab in the area where the video should be (or shows the screen behind Avidemux). At first I thought the video didn't finish loading or that the program was hung.

Change the zoom 1:2 and back to 1:1 and the full picture is shown, until play or video is manually advanced and it becomes a cropped version (~80%) on top of the full (static) background. Sound plays and the video stream can still be edited and saved. Output file appears to be fine.

Per a different post I removed qgnomeplatform-qt5 package.

Just making developers aware so they can look at this.  I am using Radeon RX 560 1196MHz 4gb GDDR5 AMD Graphics Card ... or maybe if not Avidemux issue, have contacts to send this on to Redhat.

Just in case you try to run Avidemux with Wayland: please don't. This won't work.
