Title: 2.1.8 Custom Audio FPS Change
Post by: Popeye13 on November 15, 2022, 10:06:22 PM
Hi.
Just installed the 2.1.8 (Win11) and see it now has an additional option for custom audio change, but i haven't got a clue how to use it and there is nothing on the wiki.
Changing Film (23.976) to Pal (25.000) i use often, however, i haven't got a clue how id use it for 24.000 to 25.000.
Any help or guidance would be greatly welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

If you first set a Change FPS video filter, then the Tempo multiplier entry is automatically set to the correct value.
Else you need to enter the value. If doing 24 to 25 fps (speed-up), then the Tempo multiplier should be 25/24 = 1.041666666666666666666667

It does not. It does matter only if the video is very long (like thousands of hours)

Are the frame rates exactly 25 and 24? If not, it could explain that.

Exactly 24p, yes. (Set to output to 25p)

I have not noticed any drift, testing on hours long movie, using Change FPS filter and let it automatically fill Tempo multiplier.

Sorry for the late update, work has been horrendous!

Now, having tried again, and not doing it half-asleep, i have better results that aren't OOS.
No doubt i got it wrong, especially doing something first-time, but now all good.
A massive thank you to all that helped, its appreciated
