In principle, a good idea, but the difficulty is that the output should match a multiple of 4, 8 or 16, not the crop values.

Absolutely, noticed that with the add black bars filter, where it wouldn't let me add one line of black on each side although the outcome would have been perfectly fine dividable.
But you are already looking at the output in the crop filter, telling me it is e.g. 16:9, so it should be doable. Also would be nice to see how much I am off of the next divider.
