Trouble with my recordings in Avidemux 2.5

Hello all. I currently use an HDHomeRun HDHR-US for recording OTA broadcasts. When loading the raw MPG (TS) recordings into Avidemux 2.5, I get an audio delay. I went ahead and installed Avidemux 2.6 from the Ubuntu builds at http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=10584.0 and noticed that I no longer see the audio delay, however there are no keyboard shortcuts or scrollwheel support in the GTK versions and I get crashes (as expected).

So I'm trying to figure out how to make it work with Avidemux 2.5. I believe my issue may be this - http://www.avidemux.org/admWiki/doku.php?id=tutorial:editing_mpeg_capture . I tried following the guide to use projectx and mplex to fix the sync, however when re-combining the files from projectx, mplex tells me "**ERROR: [mplex] Too many frame drops -exiting".

Is there anything else I can do to edit my recordings with Avidemux? They play/convert fine with VLC/Handbrake etc, however I'd love to use Avidemux to get rid of unnecessary stuff from them first. Either get them working with proper sync in 2.5 or using 2.6 with keyboard and mouse scrollwheel support?

Don't use GTK version, use the 2.6 QT version. This one works better and has more features enabled. (still beta)
I only get crash sometimes on opening 1st time video, the after restarting this seems to be OK.
