Potential Bug

I ran into a potential bug
My Configuration:
Avidemux Version 2.5.2
Operating System Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop 32 bit

Loaded an avi video.  This video has been played in multiple players and edited on the windows version of Avidemux successfully.

Video: MPEG-4 AVC (x264)
Audio: ACC (Faac)

Video filter:

Miscellaneous -> MPlayer delogo (Sizing left at default)
Partial: start frame 25 end frame 50  (This short video has 999 frames)

Avidemux then crashes with the message:
Assert failed :tag != VF_INVALID
at line 377, file /build/buildd/avidemux-2.5.2/avidemux/ADM_filter/filter.cppADM_backTrack
avidemux2_gtk() [0x80c13c4]

This same edit works successfully on the windows version of Avidemux.

Yes try a more recent release. Current would be 2.5.6. Most users here would even use 2.6, this one you would need to build yourself if you stay on 10.04.
32-bit versions ubuntu http://avidemux.org/nightly (Lucid Lynx) latest update 06-Feb-2011.
You might consider updating your 10.04 LTS   Lucid Lynx to 12.04 LTS   Precise Pangolin. The latest would be fine until 2017-04.
