Capturing vids from Wii
« on: August 27, 2012, 08:32:20 AM »
Hi,

I'd like to capture some videos from my Wii. I've read that the Linux version can be used to captures videos using a plug in.

Is it possible to do something like this with the Windows version of Avidemux?

As far as I understand this:
  • use dvd recorder/computer tv tuner and record transmission on UHF coax from WII
  • Or you need a capture card that is capable of reading the video output signal of your Wii. The videocard needs then software for recording that is supported on your operating system.
I'm not aware of capturing video from WII without hardware connection.

I use an old version of this capture card http://www.ezcap.tv/and I captured videos using Virtualdub.
But now I've upgraded my computer to Win7 and apparently it doesn't support the audio driver.

That's why I wanted to try using Avidemux.
