If you have issue reading files creating by avidemux using software or hw player , please do the following :
* Provide a WORKING for you file ( 10 secondes is enough)
* Process it with avidemux, & provide output file
* Specify what player you use and the problem you have (no sound, no image, no playback, speed issue...)
* Specify which version of avidemux you use + which operating system

http://www.filedropper.com/working

The non working ( for me ) is an output from Avidemux
The working is the same file but remuxed with mkvmerge 5.9.0

The non working will not play(black screen) in MPC-hc 1.65 or any previous versions x86 or x64 in windows 7 x64. ( if you disable the ffmpeg h264 decoders and instead point towards an external divx plus h264 decoder will then play)
The working will play fine in any version of mpc-hc

AVIdemux version 1.6.1
OS windows 7 x64

Hope thats enough info, if you need any more just ask

Info:
The "Non Working.mkv" is playing fine on DLNA: server + network to Samsung flatscreen TV.
The "Working.mkv" is not playing at all on DLNA: server + network to Samsung flatscreen TV. (stripped headers)
Both are playing fine on VLC.

I'm adding support for libmkv as a mkv writting library, it might help and it's simple enough

Werid getting x.ogg in download. Says audio but when played in vlc shows video? Still downloading @ 70 kbps
12 seconds only of 3:01 play V_MPEG4/MS/V3 no audio

yep, MS MPEG-4 v3 (old DivX) video, no audio track in MKV - is playing fine (MPlayer, VLC, QuickTime Player).

But using regular avidemux mkv, it worked fine also with these , right ?

Neither of the versions of MPC-HC I have running play this at all. x64 bit version (1.65) using ffmeg or the x86 version(1.63) using divx plus as the h264 decoder.  I get no sound or video

EDIT: Had a bit of chance today to have a further look.
Even if I remux your x.mkv with mkvmerge it doesnt fix it like it usually does with the ones I encode.

I didn't encounter any problems by myself using MPlayer, VLC and QuickTime Player to play MKV files whether they were created by Avidemux, ffmpeg itself or remuxed by mkvmerge, if that was the question (?).

This file (http://fixounet.free.fr/x.mkv) is only a problem for one MPlayer2 based software in my case ("MPlayer1" works).

take it, that it has been implimented in the nightly build.
As the outputs from avidemux_2.6_r8356_win64 now play fine in MPC-HC 1.65 x64 without any additional codecs.
