New to avidemux, got sick of quality loss in windows live movie maker.  I see now that there is a bit of a rebuild going on, glad to see freeware being developed!  Makes me feel better about a couple problems I am having;

Fade in leaves the first frame normal  [instead of starting at 0.0.0.0 it starts at 166ms]

Secondly I used WINDV to import from MiniDV   [DV video PCM audio].  When I apply the fade filter I export using MPEG2 and the resulting video is slightly squashed top/bottom.  How can I fix this?

Going to try 2.5.6 see if this helps any.  Thanks!
