Hi, I'm looking for correcting barrel distortion function with avidemux. Is there such a filter available like it used to be with virtual dub? Thanks

Hi ...i unburied this thread ...

Well in 2016 with the 2.6.8 under debian ...still no video filter to "defish" or "debarrel" a video with avidemux  :'(

The only easy & free solution i found was 2 filters ( debarrel & defish ) for avisynth .
But !

Two issues :
No linux version . ( no even a Mac one ) ...windows only.

Second issue :
Only with AVI file ...I don't know you but nowaday it's MP4 and MKV for most of my files and
the one out of the sport cam are .MOV ...

So i'm gonna check the other software ( for those under KDE it's seems KDEnlive does it ?)

it's too bad because i think many people will consider to use Avidemux if there is such a tool
included in the plugin/filter section.

Hope it Helps..

you can use avisynth filter with avidemux, using avsfilter loading system (on linux)
It is not really documented though

Maybe there is a similar filter for vaporsynth (multiplatform) as this frame server is now supported by ADM.

Avisynth is not restricted to AVI files.
If (for example!) you use DirectShowSource you can read inside the MP4 container.
How it all hangs together on Linux I don't know - presumably you need to work it via WINE.
