Shifting Audio saves file with no audio

I am using the 2.6.1 stable build and windows 7 64 bit. I want to sync the audio on an mp4 file with h.264 Video and AAC Audio:

- i loaded the file
- set Audio an Video to copy
- set the audio shift to the correct value
- set MP4 as the output format

When I play the result in Avidemux everything is fine, but when I save the file it doesnt export any audio. If I uncheck the shift option, the audio is exported, but of course with the wrong sync.

I have tried it with different files and the 2.6.0 build but always go the same result.

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Try with Avidemux v (r8461) found here http://avidemux.org/nightly/win32/ download: avidemux_r8461_win32.7z, unpack and replace that content where your installation is.
Could be you need to re-encode audio, for saving audio shift? Never used this feature.
If it plays fine in avidemux, it should in theory play fine with others. If on windows try playing VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).
If other device: h.264 uses heavy compression, perhaps other hardware can't coop with it?

I didn't get the nightly to run  :-\ , but it worked with reencoding the audio  :D . Thanks for the solution!

Since i always hate to reencode if there is not real need for it, does anybody know if reencoding is really the only way to save a movie with shifted audio? I would think that it should work without reencoding because there is a seperate shift option available, even if the audio stream is set to copy mode.

I leave this answer to the developer(s)

For nightly try one of these: http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/

According to the wiki it should work...

We're getting closer... The nightly build r8459 for 64-bit from http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/ saves the audio stream in copy mode with the shift enabled, but the audio in the saved file is not shifted, it is still out of sync  :(

Have you tried both mp4 (mp4 and mp4v2) and mkv?
