Same x264 settings, lanczos resize. AViDemux 2.6 r8502 (March 19)

Converted at original size 1920x800

One that dev(s) could/can only explain: perhaps there is an issue with color matrix Rec. 601 and Rec. 709
Do you have other resizing available in avidemux? Like vdpau: Resize (linux with nvidia grphics card) or OpenGl Resize (found under OpenGl) and see if this improves/stays the same?
could be SWResize uses rec. 601 (SD TV) and the others Rec. 709 (HD TV)
If you don' have these, upload 5 seconds of that scene you posted the comparing screen shots of. Upload to Rapidshare.com or similar web service and provide a link to it. I do the test and upload the results.

Otherwise by reducing the pixels from 1920x800 to 1280x532 there are less pixels (171520) to show color (640x268) if the missing pixels are blueish that could explain the green color dominance?

I have an ATI card so no VDPAU and OpenGL crashes. Here is the clip I used (10sec - 8.4MB)

Hard to tell here what is difference?
the several resizes download 2.4 MB each:
SWresize = http://rapidshare.com/files/871588612/xf2SWresize.mkv
OpenGL  = http://rapidshare.com/files/1692698035/xf2OpenGl.mkv
vdpau = http://rapidshare.com/files/1422798217/xf2VDPAU.mkv
screenshot all playing simultaneous (100% size):

my impression: opengl is closest?
avidemux Preferences [Video]
Try if you can run only with [v] Enable openGl support, don't use Video Display: OpenGl best, keep your current Video Display

All of your encodes have the light, greenish tint... not much difference between them in that respect.

Quality wise, the SWSRezize gives the sharpest picture, VDPau next and OpenGL the last.

I tried setting only the checkbox before but the OpenGL resizer still doesn't show up.

Start avidemux from a command line (dos box, C:\) you should see some indication if avidemux could work with/found opengl?
for opengl see if you can get updated drivers for your ATi card?
Perhaps this is of some use for you? Getting proper OpenGL driver for older AMD(ex. ATI) graphics cards on Windows 8

There's no GLResize plugin in my Video plugins folder, so that's why it's not showing up.

Doesn't matter anyway, since it still adds a green tint like SWSResize, and it doesn't look as sharp.

Nothing else I can do. Perhaps developer(s) pick up on this.
Try last nightly or 2.6.2 found here: Test installer for avidemux 2.6.2

I think that the following line in the 2.6.11 changelog refers to this bug:
