Portions of Flash Video are UPSIDE DOWN

Hello,

I found AviDemux while asking for help at the Club Myce forum (my thread - I am "borat007").  I have downloaded a 10 minute video in .flv format.  It generally plays OK except for 5 portions where it has been flipped upside down for about 1 minute (each portion). It begins the right way up and at 1:01 flips upside down for about 60 sec. where it resumes the right way up. This is repeated at 3:03, 5:05, 7:07 and 9:09, all for approx. 60 seconds each time. 

A different forum (VideoHelp) suggested AviSynth and I have downloaded that along with VirtualDub (and Notepad++ for a text editor).  As a Complete Newbie I must say that I am pretty much completely lost.  Is there a simple tutorial for attempting this sort of project with AviDemux?  The last reply to my Club Myce thread was this:

"You can certainly cut out the sections and flip them, but AviDemux won't allow you to apply filters if you are simply copying the video. You would have to reencode them using the same video and audio codecs, or go to a lossless codec like HuffUV video and PCM audio.

"The first thing I would try would be to convert the existing flv video to HuffyUV + PCM audio in an avi container. You can do this in AviDemux. The resulting file will be much, much larger, but you will have virtually no picture quality loss. Then start cutting out sections, good ones and bad ones...process the bad ones again, this time using the 180 degree filter to flip them over. You are still using HuffyUV and pcm. At this point you should have the five bad sections and the good ones all in correct orientation, so all you have to do is use the Append function to glue them back together in the correct order.

"The major flaw in this scheme is the possibility to lose audio/video synchronization.

"It should be possible to simply mark the sections that need to be flipped, then apply the filters to those sections only, and do all of this in one shot as you convert to HuffyUV and pcm audio. "Once you have everything corrected, and playing properly in HuffyUV avi format, it is simple to use AVStoDVD to convert to dvd video."

Consideration rectangular picture: most likely you need to crop/resize when rotating. If you can live with some loss: don't go to lossless format (huge video files, and plenty of processing time). Just move settings towards High(est) Quality (0) and try with small sample to check what works for you or not. Try with avidemux 2.6.3 if that does not work use 2.5.6.
