Help! I want to edit a 343MB .MP4 video which is about 9 min long. When I open it in Avidemux, only the first 1min 58 sec is there. What do I need to do to see the entire video.? I've looked through every setting and can't figure why this is happening.

Maybe a stupid answer, but did you watch your source file to see if it didnt stop at that point.
Not just gettting the file info without watching.
It can be possible that there is a minor glitch in the source.

Yes, the source video made from windows movie maker is intact. I thought maybe it may have had something to do with a "B" marker setting, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm banging my head on the desk with this one.

Avidemux plays fine until 1:58 then stops. That's the total length of the video as shown by the progress play bar. I don't know why the remaining 7 minutes of footage is not there. Very odd. I was hoping this would be an easy answer like maybe there was some setting that was off. I may need to re-encode the entire source video and try importing again.

If I were you I would remux with another tool (like mkvmerge) it would "clean" the file then try reimport. Or try windows movie maker again with other settings, because I don't think it will work otherwise.

Just a thought, have you tried the other version of avidemux?
Meaning if using 2.6.x then try 2.5.x and visa versa.
These are very different programs eventhough the look much the same.
