Hello.

I'm using avidemux 2.6.5 win64 (also tried win32). I have windows 7 64bit

I'm re-encoding some dvb-t recordings using x264. I also tried to encode some other files for testing

When i select the mkv or mp4v2 container there's no problem

When i select the mp4 container the files are not playable. I'm using VLC,MPC and WMP

I get an error 'VLC can't recognize the input's format', 'Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file' etc

I didn't have a problem with previous avidemux versions (avidemux 2.6.1 and prior)

ALSO. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE between mp4 and mp4v2 ? Which one should i prefer?

Thanks in advance.

AQUAR

Are these patches incorporated in the latest nightlies?
Or are they to be applied a new to each nightly - to fix some specific MP4 playback issue?

I would like to know what is the difference between mp4 and mp4v2, too. Is the latter one better, i.e. should I use it over mp4?

Different libraries used
Not better or worse, just different
