Adding video files to a certain time in original video?

I want to combine video files with Avidemux, which is done by using the "append" option. However by default it just adds the video files to the end of the first video.

I want to add Vid B to say 2 minutes in of Vid A. Can this be done? If so how?

If its a simple combining - could just cut/edit at 2 min, append new segment, append back the cut segment.
If its a complex combining you need to first prepare the segments and then append them in the desired sequence.
