Korean encoding???

I made subtitles srt and ssa using Divx Media Subtitler. For some reason, if I can't specify the encoding; it does it for me depending on the OS language. If I use English, it becomes "Western and English whatever" and if I use Korean, it becomes "Korean". Now, I can read the subtitles fine using srt, and ssa, in Media Player Classic, but not VLC for some reason.

The problem comes when I try to hardcode the srt into the mp4 using Avidemux 2.6 or 2.5. Avidemux's encoding doesn't have Korean encoding, only UTF8. If I could save the srt in UTF8 that would be swell, but it's in Korean encoding and when I hardcode it, the result is gibberish.

Any help???

Thx
