hi

Avidemux cannot properly process mpeg2 .ts file, both as input and output format. The .ts file can be opened, but without audio track. And it cannot be saved as a new .ts file. I select Mpeg TS Muxer (ff) and  save the file, it prompts  "cannot open". I have tried several .ts files and all of them can be played well in media player. These .ts files have mpeg2 video and aac audio tracks.
My system is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1(64bit). The Avidemux is the newest version now(2.6.7, 64bit).

Thanks

What's the source of these transport streams? DVB?

Have you tried the nightly release?

baz06

Hi

The  source is a live video software (vMix).
This is a standard MPEG2 TS file.

From http://avidemux.org/nightly/, what file should I use?

Thanks
Boaz

Not working.
I still got the error massage: "some tracks are used multiple times".
It seems I can't select an audio track

baz06

...and here is the log.
I can see it does not recognize audio (MPEG-Audio, M_MP3)

mean

Would need a sample
My guess is that there is no PAT/PMT

I know there is an audio.
I also have access to it with other muxing program (tsMuxeR)
I just don't understand why there is no audio here

mean

Can you try the following :
* Erase the .idx2 file
* Download a 32 bits nightly from avidemux.org/nightly/win32
unzip it somewhere and run it from there

baz06

Sorry. No audio in 32bit.
Are you using the default setting?

AQUAR

Also have sound on that sample, using 32 bit r9014.
Is an mp2 audio track and avidemux is in startup default.

As mean said, you first have to delete the old .idx2 file for your video file.
The .idx2 index file is created automatically when avidemux opens your .ts file.
eg with your sample file meron_20sec.ts, after loading it into avidemux, it will create another file
in the same directory called meron_20sec.ts.idx2.

So for your problem file, first delete that corresponding .idx2, then run the avidemux nightly.
Its because we want to avoid reusing that old index file in case its been corrupted.

Yet, it doesn't work.
What is the meaning of "Some tracks are used multiple time"?
As audio device, I can see only "Dummy" & "Win32". Is it OK?

Thanks
