So it seems i can't simply edit the colors of a video. i tried other softwares but it didn't work
With Avidemux is easy but i have a huge problem. Avidemux shows thw wrong colors in its player.
I should edit some adult videos and i know i can't post pics here so i'll cut them just to show you what i mean

on the left we have the video showed in Avidemux while on the right the video played in the the video player.
there is a huge difference.

how can i correct the colors if avidemux already shows them wrong?

What colorspace is the video in? Such effects are typical for YUV420 to RGB colorspace conversion. Apart from that, most players (as well as some video renderers used by Avidemux) crank up the contrast to compensate the limited range 16-235 for MPEG.

it's YUV (no number)
But i tried to open about 20 more videos and they are all YUV.

is there a way to adjust avidemux?

No, at least it is not implemented. It makes more sense to adjust such things as saturation and contrast on the player side.

that is a different solution and i asked here https://avidemux.org/smif/index.php/topic,18465.0.html

So i have 2 ways to get what i want.

1) Correct video with software. But i need Avidemux to show the same colors as the player

2) Correct video with the player but i need a player that can remember settings for each video and not globally. If you can help, please answer on the other topic

If you have to re-encode anyway, inserting a color filter to adjust severely wrong colors or contrast is justified. Else not.

There was a topic about colors a few months ago: https://avidemux.org/smif/index.php?topic=18428.0

QuoteBut i need Avidemux to show the same colors as the player

I fear, this is not feasible with the desired consistency.
