2.7.1 on Mac mini (2014) running Mojave (macOS 10.14.3 beta 4)

I can't even get it to properly launch.  The icon bounces, but no window of any kind shows up and the icon in the dock doesn't have the • under it showing that it's running.

There are no sufficiently current nightly builds for macOS to test, unfortunately. At the time of writing, the last official build dates back to November 18, but nevertheless, what does

Code: [Select]
/Applications/Avidemux_2.7.1.app/Contents/MacOS/Avidemux2.7
print in the Terminal?

There are no builds generated on Mojave yet, I'm on High Sierra too. In doubt, I would recommend to build Avidemux from the latest ffmpeg4x git branch yourself. This is not difficult on macOS, but takes quite a lot of disk space because you need Xcode (and Homebrew, of course) for that.

zsh: no such file or directory: /Applications/Avidemux_2.7.1.app/Contents/MacOS/Avidemux2.7

Does it have to be in the base Applications folder to  run?  I've got it in a sub-folder with other video editing apps I've collected to find a simple one that will let me cut and save an individual clip out of an .mp4.

DOH!!  That was it. I moved it out into the main Applications folder and it launched fine.  **sigh**

It does what I want it to, but it frequently reverts to the spinning beach ball cursor and ignores further keyboard input.  That can be worked around, but it definitely adds to the time it takes to isolate a clip.

Might it be related to usage of zsh instead of bash? I can move Avidemux_2.7.1.app folder wherever I want and Avidemux launches fine.

Do you refer to the 181118 nightly or the 2.7.1 release?
