On a 64bit Win7 system with Avidemux 2.7.5 portable I did the following:

1. I started Avidemux
2. I dragged an *.mp4 video file onto Avidemux window
3. I set as Video Output Mpeg4 AVC (x264) and configured it
4. I set a filter swResize
5. I set as Audio output to MP3 (lame) and configured it
6. I clicked on Menu Edit--->Save current settings as default
7. I exit and restart Avidemux

Unfortunately Avidemux does NOT save all settings:

- All filters for Video and Audio Output are lost
- Audio Output is set to "copy"

When will this bug be fixed?

A "save settings" function should really  save ALL settings

This would presumably take major architectural changes in Avidemux as the things which are now left out can't work (will crash Avidemux) when starting a new session without a video matching the previous session loaded.

In other words: patches welcome. The task is not on my todo list.

So "Save current settings as default" is only saving the codec selected in the "Video Output" dropdown and the corresponding settings inside the "Configure" button?
=> Then please rename it to "Save current video codec configuration as default" to make clear that everything else is not being saved.
