I sometimes have to get the AAC audio track out of an MP4 that has no video track.  Avidemux won't open the file so I could save the audio from it.  What tool would you recommend for demuxing this type of file?  I don't wish to "save to wav", but would like to keep the AAC audio track intact as such.

I found Mp4Box and Mp4Box GUI.  (Had to get 7zip first to access the GUI installer.)  Works.  If some other is recommended, that would be nice, especially if it's simpler than getting multiple pieces.

But it would be nicer if Avidemux itself could be allowed to have audio-only files.  I am very used to extracting audio tracks from files within Avidemux.  it would be nice to also do that even if the file happens to have no video.  Just an idea for improving an already great program.
